You may see wording like oak aged or oak influenced on wine labels. In order to be guaranteed that oak barrels were used and not oak chip as is commonly used for less expensive wines, you must see the word “barrel” in the description.

Special Event License Form


The purpose of this form is to enable the public to apply for a limited-use license to sell beverage alcohol as part of a community festival or municipal event. It can be issued to a corporation, organization, city, town or village, and is valid for a fixed period of time.

The form is issued and processed by the Licensing and Records Branch of the Department of Public Safety, and is issued under the authority of the Liquor Control Act and Regulations of the Province of New Brunswick.

Applications for this type of license are available from both the Licensing and Records Branch at (506) 453-7472 and from Service New Brunswick outlets – call toll free at 1-888-762-8600, or check their web site at http://www.snb.ca to find the location nearest you.
